Champagne For Dinner
“Don’t Call This Destiny”
Here is some awesome weirdness I stumbled upon today. Love that 80’s synth funk.

Garden Parties
“Under The Sun”
Yesterday, I woke up to this track in my inbox…I was stoked. I later came to find out this was the fledgling work of Boston’s Luke Brandfon aka Garden Parties. I love the summer glaze to the vocals, the pimp single note rhythm guitar keeping the groove down, the trashy slurry to the hi-hats, the vocal pads. Sonically, it has obvious similarity to its forebearers, but if chillwave music never dies, so doesn’t the feeling…especially in the spring.
You can pick up Under The Sun at bandcamp. Looking forward to what comes next!
Pajama People
“Shoes”
Last Thursday whilst hanging with one of their Allston compatriots, I got a message from Pajama People that they had dropped a new EP. Being a fan of the first EP, I was certainly excited to hear the new stuff.
The 7 track After The Gold Rugs, is much sleepier than the previous I like Your Rugs EP. And while the there are a few less catchy tunes, it’s a more cerebral and cohesive experience than ILYR. Check out the AM radio gold of “Shoes” to slide into Pajama People’s mood.
You Won’t
“Three Car Garage”
I am not a huge fan of folk-y jangly music. I do not quite celebrate all of Bob Dylan’s catalog, but this folk pop number from Boston’s You Won’t struck me a super listenable. I am loving that tom-rolled hook and because of that, I am gonna share it with you guys and probably listen to it about 100 more times.

McWolf
“Feel It Out”
I would have so rocked this track when I was ten while I played with G.I. Joe’s on my bedroom floor. I would have been stoked too, it would have been my jam.
There really is so much delightful as fuckness when it comes to McWolf which is the side project of Welly Netto (of ABADABAD, Rodeo Church). The 4 track self titled EP up at Bandcamp is just chock full of goodies. I’m very much in head over heels love with the eargasm Feel It Out. McWolf (can’t express how much I think this name is brilliant) is for fans of Abadabad, Surfer Blood, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Drums. If you are smitten too you can download the entire album for a name your price value over at Bandcamp!
Because when it’s getting tough I’m gonna feel it out…
I Can Chase Dragons!
“Republique”
Start the week off right with this smooth jam from Boston-based Julio Gudino’s solo project. Get it.
Another great discovery on exfm. This time via my bud Caleb at Epic Concoction.
