Pandit
“Human Qualities”
Need to space out for six minutes? Take a ride with Pandit and press play. Texas’ Lance Smith weaves guitar feedback, delays, and ambient pads into a swirl of propulsive experimental pop. Get the whole Steady Nerves and a Strong Heart EP here.
Sundress
“Page of Wands”
Psychedelic rock is one of those genres that any idiot thinks they can pull off with a little delay and feedback on the guitar and some kinda drug fuel. WRONG. It’s got a lot more finesse to it than you might think and Sundress demonstrates that with their new self-titled EP.
The Denton,Texas five piece create a wash of disparate sounds that coalesce into pop uniformity throughout the turns of this 6-tracker. Quality debut for Sundress, I got a feeling they are gonna only get better. Check out the EP, but you should probably be checking them out live.

“The Big Idea”
The Austin, TX five-piece dropped their very listenable 4 track EP An Introduction To… early this year and I may not have had the pleasure of hearing it had they not hit me up on twitter this week. I am glad they did. The songs remind me of a cross between Band of Horses and Grandaddy. Get it.
